DOWNTOWN’S FRIGHT FEST
Transforming the heart of Downtown Long Beach for 8,000 attendees.
8,000 ATTENDEES | 8 HOURS | 40+ VENDORS | 2 DOWNTOWN CORRIDORS
THE PROJECT
Time & Space served as the event production company for Downtown’s Fright Fest, working in partnership with the Downtown Long Beach Alliance to bring a new large-scale Halloween experience to Downtown.
The event transformed Pine Avenue and The Promenade into an eight-hour street festival featuring live entertainment, food and beverage, local vendors, family activities, scare experiences and approximately 8,000 attendees.
Fright Fest was also part of Long Beach’s new Entertainment Zone pilot program, making the production one of the city’s first large-scale events to operate under the new EZ Sip framework.
THE PRODUCTION
Time & Space managed the production behind the event, including site planning, permitting and city coordination, street closures, infrastructure, vendor coordination, production schedules, load-in and load-out, public safety requirements and on-site operations.
With Pine Avenue and The Promenade activated simultaneously, the production required multiple event areas, entertainment programming, vendors, food and beverage operations and thousands of guests moving through an active Downtown environment.
THE RESULT
Approximately 8,000 people attended Fright Fest, with an estimated 3,500 people on the event footprint at peak attendance.
The first-year event turned two major Downtown corridors into a full-scale Halloween festival while helping demonstrate what Long Beach’s new Entertainment Zone program could look like at scale.
8,000 PEOPLE. 40+ VENDORS. 8 HOURS. ONE DOWNTOWN PRODUCTION.
